RADHIKA SHETTY

Radhika Shetty is a highly endowed and promising artiste who was introduced into the art form of Bharatanatyam by Vidushi Smt. Sharadamani Shekhar of Sanathana Natyalaya, Mangaluru.
Over the years, in her keen interest for learning the depths and diversities of the dance form, she completed her Rangapravesha under the guidance and direction of the honored Guru Smt. Padmini Ramachandran of Natyapriya, Bengaluru. She continues to seek guidance from Gurus Smt. Rama Vaidyanathan and Smt. Bragha Bessell and evolves with every performance.
Radhika has dedicated most of her time in perfecting the art form, learning the more complicated nuances from her gurus. Today, she has blossomed into a soulful performer and has been recognized by her audiences at various recitals across the globe. Radhika’s forte lies in the depth of her performances as she portrays different characters on stage with ease. She has delivered lectures, conducted workshops and has performed at various prestigious venues of the country, also Hungary and USA.
Radhika believes that propagating the art form is also very important to nurture the young minds and that gave rise to Nrityaangan, a registered trust founded by Radhika in Mangaluru. She teaches young aspirants of Bharatanatyam at her academy in Mangaluru and also curates Dance Festivals, Workshops and Seminars with the sole objective of propagating this beautiful art form.
She is also a graded artiste of Bengaluru Doordarshan and empanelled with SPICMACAY for workshop demonstrations in schools. She was awarded the BEST DANCER in the senior category by the Parthasarathy Sabha, Chennai.
